Apple is proud to announce that its App Store has surpassed 100,000 apps.  No surprise this is the largest app store in the world.  Programmers from 77 different countries made apps that populate the 20 categories available.  The Apple App Store has served out over 2 billion app download and has no intention of slowing down.

After the release of software version 3.0 this summer for the iPhone, many more features are available for developers to access.  With 10,000 apps being downloaded a day, it is easy to say there is still potential for bigger things.  The addition of Push notifications has been a major advancement for the App Store.
